How to make Besan Khandvi Recipe?

Gram flour 1 cup
Curd 1 cup
Water 2 cups
Ginger paste half teaspoon
Green chili paste half teaspoon
Turmeric powder 1/4th teaspoon
Salt 1 teaspoon

Ingredients needed for Tempering material in Besan Khandvi

  • Coconut: half cup grated
  • Mustard: half a teaspoon
  • Green chili: finely chopped
  • Curry leaves: 5 to 4
  • Oil: one tablespoon
  • Salt: a pinch

To make Besan Khandvi, put one cup gram flour, one cup of curd, and two cups of water in a bowl. Then add ginger, green chilies, turmeric powder, and salt and mix all the ingredients thoroughly.

Now sieve it in the pan with a sieve so that all the lumps are removed. Turn on the gas and cook the gram flour on low flame. Keep stirring it until it becomes thick.

When the gram flour is thick, when you take the gram flour in the spatula and drop it down, it will fall like a clot.

Besan Khandvi

Now you have to do it very quickly and grease the reverse side of a plate by applying oil. Then add gram flour and spread it finely on a plate with the baking side of the knife. Spread the gram flour as thin as you can on the plate.

Now let it cool down a bit, prepare the tadka for this Khandvi. Heat oil in a pan, then add mustard, finely chopped green chilies, and curry leaves. Then add grated coconut and a little salt to it. Turn off the gas, the coconut will soak up the oil and it will also contain mustard, green chili, and curry leaf flavor.

Now sprinkle this tempering over the gram flour. Put a little green coriander on top, cut it lengthwise at a distance of one to one and a half inches, then cut it from the center so that the rolls of our Khandvi do not become too big.

Now roll the chopped pieces by pressing them lightly. So that it sticks, roll all the pieces in the same way. Place the Khandvi on a serving plate and garnish with the remaining tempering on top, the fun Khandvi is ready.
